Training objectives:
1. To develop heightened awareness of risk in order to produce a safer, conscientious, less stressed and more environmentally friendly driver, and to achieve this without suppressing the driver's natural driving pattern.
2. To develop an understanding of the needs and comforts of passengers, and to ensure their safe transportation.
The methodology used will depend on the objectives set by the client and may fall into one of two categories: a) a proactive driving approach or b) addressing the health and safety issues in driving Passenger Carrying Vehicles.
Option a) is road based, option b) is 50% classroom based with 50% practical on-road experience, focusing on smooth and safe transportation, and the boarding and disembarking of passengers.
MIDAS Driving/Accessibles' certificates can be awarded for those completing the MIDAS programme.
