One of the key Health and Safety responsibilities of employers is to ensure their employees are competent to drive if it is necessary for them to do so as part of their work-related duties. The main way that the majority of companies do this is by checking that the employee holds a valid driving licence. Unfortunately, this is far from being a reliable predictor of driving competence.

ATC can help companies address this issue by developing a pre-employment assessment programme. This programme can be provided by ATC or employees from within organisations can be trained to carry out and assess the required exercises.

During employment, we can also provide a programme of continual assessment, which can be carried out at regular periods, or after significant incidents have occurred.
